Even though DNA holds such significant information, it’s astonishingly small. If you could see DNA with your eyes, you might be surprised to find out just how tiny it is. In fact, DNA is so small that millions of strands could fit inside a single drop of water. A single DNA molecule measures about 2.5 nanometers in diameter. Let’s put that in perspective. Imagine a piece of hair from your head, which is already quite thin. Now, imagine something about 40,000 times thinner than that. That’s roughly the size of one DNA molecule!
